I have so many topics I want to write about, some technical, some not so. Exploring a technical topic has kind of a path which makes it slightly easier for me to write about. On the other hand, other topics which don’t follow a rough path are more tough to start off writing.

Having said all that, if I have been writing regularly, starting off becomes much easier. Luckily for me, once that initial bump is crossed, I find my writing flows much more smoothly. Isn’t it amazing? That initially you’re having trouble putting together even a sentence, then you can’t stop and get fired up with “I can include this and maybe even that” pretty much continuously.

On reaching that flow state, you start to think deeply about stuff, technical or not. Get more questions - “does this make sense”, “ah I didn’t think of that” etc. That is the fun (at times frustrating too) part of writing for me.

I don’t know about others, but the process is really liberating for me. I never thought that would be the case growing up. I was more of the notion that I wasn’t cut out for it. I had similar thoughts about “reading”. Oh boy, how wrong was I?! Those two things have given me tremendous joy and helped me in more ways than one.

I hope more people find joy in them!
