In today’s world, we are literally paying money to avoid having to watch ads on streaming services. One aspect of this is time, though we can skip after a while; it still takes some time.
The second aspect is the quality of the ad itself, that’s the reason I’m writing this post today. The quality of ads is just so bad. There is no creativity, not even funny or catchy. I can’t remember recently an ad that was good.
While growing up in the 1990s and early 2000s, I remember ads that were good. They were funny, catchy due to good creativity. Even after so many years, I still remember these ads like the Pidilite ads with Fevicol, M-Seal, etc.
Catchy phrases like “Ujala char boondo wala”, “Washing Powder Nirma, Doodh si safedi …”, “Petrol khatam hi nahi hunda”, “Ghar ka sara kaam mujhe hi karna padta hai …” and many more. This video is a nice compilation of a few more ads.
